The employer has a general obligation to ensure working conditions that respect the safety and health of its workers.

The employer shall organize the occupational safety and health service, promoting the humanization of work, health surveillance of workers, training, information, awareness raising and education to promote safety and health at work.

It should prevent occupational risks by means of a correct and permanent risk assessment.

The breach of this obligation is a very serious offense subject to considerable fines, and the employer, whose conduct has contributed to a situation of danger.

External Occupational Health and Safety Services

When the employer does not have the necessary internal competences to guarantee the prevention of occupational risks and to promote the health surveillance of workers, and provided that it is not legally obliged to organize internal services, it may contract external entities for the provision of Security services and Occupational Health.

We provide External Occupational Health and Safety Services in the various branches of activity.

Security Audits

Job failures can translate into heavy losses for employers.

The Work Safety Audits are based on the monitoring and on-site monitoring of the performance quality and implementation of the safety measures resulting from the Risk Assessments and preparation of suggestions for corrective measures / improvement, fundamental for the safety system to be the most adjusted to jobs and facilities.

We elaborate Security Audits, with the objective of verifying the safety conditions, the degree of implementation of the measures and the effectiveness of the safety management system.

Elaboration of Security Plans - PSS

The PSS - Safety and Health Plan at the project stage is a legal requirement established in Decree-Law n.º 273/2003, on safety and health conditions at work in temporary or mobile construction sites, applicable to works that require design and which involve special risks or that require the delivery of the Prior Notice of Opening of the Shipyard.

The PSS is the basic document for the planning and management of safety and health of a shipyard, directed to all the actors involved in the execution of a work. It is fundamental for the exercise of the function of Safety Coordination in the work and in the support to the Owner of the Work in the definition of the rules and safety requirements to be implemented in the work.

The content of a PSS deals with several aspects of safety, such as identification and evaluation of activities risks, preventive measures, identification of constraints, measures of organization of the yard, among many others.

 In the scope of Civil Construction, we proceed to the Elaboration of Security Plans-PSS in the design and construction phase.

Work Safety Coordination

The on-site health and safety coordinators play a key role in providing advice, technical support and advice to the Worker on safety and health in the execution of works.

In this scope our services include:
· Inform the Owner of Work about his responsibilities under DL N.º 273/2003, of October 29
· Technical validation of the development of the Health and Safety Plan
· The Prior Notice of Opening of the Shipyard to ACT
· Verification of the legal requirements of companies and self-employed workers
· Promote, coordinate and control the length of the PSS
· Produce records of the coordination activity
· Inform the Owner of Work on the safety control in the yard
· Analyze the causes of accidents at work ...

Preparation of the Single Report

The Labor Code created a unique obligation for employers, to provide annual information on the company's social activity, with content and deadline for presentation regulated by the Ordinance: the Preparation of the Single Report. In this regard, we support the employers in the preparation and submission of the report.
